This Week's Quick Tip
There I was, scrolling on TikTok (like I often do) when I came across a video that made me stop and think.
The woman in the video was sharing a technique called Box Breathing, and explained how it helped her reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of overwhelm.
So what did I do? Well, you better believe I tried it out for myself.
And boy oh boy... just one minute later, it worked wonders!
Here’s how it worked:
Breathe in for four seconds, hold for four seconds. Breathe out for four seconds, hold for four seconds.
Can you visualize a 4x4 box? Yeah, that’s why it’s called Box Breathing.
So the next time you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed or anxious or anything else in between, I encourage you to take just one minute and practice Box Breathing. Breathe in, hold, breathe out, hold.
I think you’ll be surprised just how much calmer and at peace you feel.
This Week's Find The Good Story
This week’s find the good story is from Natalie. Hope it inspires you as much as it inspires us!
“Negativity is more common than I realized. I started trying to focus on the good a couple years ago, with even bigger strides being taken over the past year. Allowing anxious thoughts or negative feelings to pass without dwelling on them has changed my life.
Finding beauty in the rain instead of grumbling about it. Getting excited to wake up and experience the day instead of being cranky because it’s Monday. Finding the good is a choice I make every day and it has led to more happiness than I knew was possible.”
