Welcome back to another edition of Find The Good Friday, a weekly newsletter where we share helpful resources, one inspiring quote, one quick tip, and one find the good story to help you find the good this upcoming week.

Our goal is to help you get through the good and the bad days, the ups and the downs, and anything else that stands between you and a smile on your face.

This week's focus: Taking a chance on yourself.

Let’s get to it!

This Week's Resources

This Week's Quote

“You can’t help getting older. But that doesn’t mean you have to get old.”

George Burns | American Comedian and Actor

This Week's Lesson

I turn 24 tomorrow (how terrifying, that seems so old).

So today I wanted to share 24 of the most important lessons I learned…

Just kidding, that would take forever! But in all seriousness, I figured I’d share the number one most important lesson I learned over this past year. And it’s one I used to find the good in pretty much every aspect of my life.

Ready? Alright, here it is: Don’t be afraid to take a chance on yourself.

At the start of last year, I decided that 2023 was going to be the year I face my fears and take more risks (calculated risks, don’t worry). And face my fears and take more risks I did!

I asked that girl out. I quit my full-time job to start my own business. I learned how to ski even though I was terrified at first.

All these things, no matter how big or small they may seem, greatly improved my life and made my days more fun and fulfilling. And it was all because I decided to take a chance on myself.

So the next time you’re scared to do something or step outside your comfort, I encourage you to take a chance on yourself and do that thing anyways. I think you may just be surprised at what it’ll do for you.

This Week's Find The Good Story

This week’s find the good story is from an anonymous member of our community. Hope it inspires you as much as it inspires us!

“I’ve always loved the saying ‘find the good’ and think it’s such a great phrase. I find the good every day by trying to stay positive and recognize what I have to be grateful for. I try to never take any day for granted. Finding the good in each day is really helpful for me, as I’m in college and just try to keep my head up regardless of what bad grade I receive or what bad day I may have.

More specifically, I recently found the good after I failed my first ever class in my first semester in college. It stung a lot, and I’ve never felt that way before. However, I focused on the good and just kept going the next day as I looked for the positive things. I learned from my mistakes and killed it the next semester!”
Thanks for reading this week's edition of Find The Good Friday! We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback, so let us know what you thought by dropping us a reply to this email.

Keep on finding the good :)
