Welcome back to another edition of Find The Good Friday, a weekly newsletter where we share helpful resources, one inspiring quote, one quick tip, and one find the good story to help you find the good this upcoming week.

Our goal is to help you get through the good and the bad days, the ups and the downs, and anything else that stands between you and a smile on your face.

This week's focus: Finding the good in the people around you.

Let’s get to it!

This Week’s Resources

Here’s a list of some of my favorite resources this week. If you have the time to check them out, I’d highly recommend it!

This Week’s Quote

“There are no strangers here; only friends you haven’t met yet.”

  • William Butler Yeats | Former Senator of the Irish Free State

This Week’s Quick Tip

Truth is, there’s good all around you. In nature, in the small moments that happen in your life… and especially in the people around you.

Has there ever been a time where you judged someone based on a first impression and were proven wrong after getting to know them better (never judge a book by its cover, as they say)?

I really do believe that there’s more good in the world than what we’re led to believe and that people are good at heart.

Sometimes you just have to be willing to spark a conversation with others and learn to find the good in the people around you.

Because they may just surprise you. And best of all? That stranger that you’re scared to talk to might just end up becoming your best friend.

So take a chance on them and choose to find the good in others.

Here’s your challenge for this week (it’s a simple one): Start a small conversation with a stranger you meet this week. It can be on the street, at a café, or even at work or school. But simply start a conversation with someone you’ve never talked to before.

This Week’s Find The Good Story

This week’s find the good story is from an anonymous member of our community. Hope it inspires you as much as it inspires us!

“I’ve always known there was good around me but always was searching for it and didn’t know where to find it. What I came to realize, and what brought me a lot of peace, was realizing there’s good in everything. From a blooming flower in a patch of dead ones, to finding a sand dollar on the beach, to just watching humans interact with one another with love and compassion.

Good isn’t that hard to find. It’s just about having an open mind and trying to keep a positive light and energy around you. I still struggle with it at times but I always remind myself of those things, and it helps me a lot! Just remember, there’s good inside you, which means there’s good in the world. Hope this helps anyone who needs it :) keep living and vibing!”

Thanks for reading this week's edition of Find The Good Friday! We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback, so let us know what you thought by dropping us a reply to this email.

Keep on finding the good :)
