Hey there,

For those who celebrate, I hope you had a great Easter this past weekend.

And if you don’t celebrate? Well, I still hope you had a great weekend!

Welcome back to another edition of Find The Good Friday, a weekly newsletter where we share helpful resources, one inspiring quote, one quick tip, and one find the good story to help you find the good this upcoming week.

Our goal is to help you get through the good and the bad days, the ups and the downs, and anything else that stands between you and a smile on your face.

This week's focus: Appreciate the little things in life.

Let’s get to it!

This Week’s Resources

Here’s a list of some of my favorite resources this week. If you have the time to check them out, I’d highly recommend it!

This Week’s Quote

“Now it no time to think about what you don’t have. Think of what you can do with what there is.”

  • Ernest Hemingway | American Novelist

This Week’s Quick Tip

Growing older can be fun. It can be a bit scary, too. But sometimes, it can also be a bit sad.

I’ll be honest. These past few weeks, my grandpa hasn’t been doing too well. He can barely sit up in bed, he can’t move his legs too well, and he hasn’t been able to talk for the past three weeks.

Is it sad? Yeah, it is. But it also makes me appreciate life a whole lot more. And I’m sure he also has a much deeper appreciation for the smaller things in life.

Because truth is, I often take the small things for granted (even though I really try not to). Things like getting out of bed every morning. Things like talking to my friends and family. Things like writing and sharing my ideas with others.

So if there’s anything you take away from this email, let it be to never take the small things for granted and appreciate every moment in life.

Because after all, the small things are what matter most in the end.

Here’s your challenge this week: Go on a short walk (without listening to any music or audio) and just learn to appreciate the small things around you. The sights and sounds. The smells and the breeze on your skin. Then come back and write down everything you’re grateful for.

This Week’s Find The Good Story

This week’s find the good story is from Travis. Hope it inspires you as much as it inspires us!

“I first found Find The Good on social media, and the message just meant so much to me. I’m a critical care registered nurse in an ICU, so every single day, I see people at the worst moments of their lives.

Finding the good means so much more when you get to see a patient recover from life threatening injuries by pushing through the pain and suffering every day, holding onto the thought that it will all be worth it in the end. And that’s the same mentality I try to have every day.”

Thanks for reading this week's edition of Find The Good Friday! We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback, so let us know what you thought by dropping us a reply to this email.

Keep on finding the good :)
