Hey there,

Well… we’ve officially made it.

52 weeks. 52 issues. And hopefully 52 times we’ve helped you find the good as you read these newsletters each week.

Thanks for joining us on this journey, and here’s to another year of finding the good :)

Anyways, welcome back to another edition of Find The Good Friday, a weekly newsletter where we share helpful resources, one inspiring quote, one quick tip, and one find the good story to help you find the good this upcoming week.

Our goal is to help you get through the good and the bad days, the ups and the downs, and anything else that stands between you and a smile on your face.

This week's focus: Look how far you’ve come.

Let’s get to it!

This Week’s Resources

Here’s a list of some of my favorite resources this week. If you have the time to check them out, I’d highly recommend it!

This Week’s Quote

“Take pride in how far you’ve come. Have faith in how far you can go. But don’t forget to enjoy the journey.”

  • Michael Josephson | Professor and Attorney

This Week’s Quick Tip

I don’t know about you, but I’m never satisfied with where I’m at. I’m always striving to be better, stronger, faster, smarter… aren’t we all?

And if I’m honest, a lot of that stems from comparing myself to others. I see people who are younger than me that have the life I dream of. I see others who seem to have everything figured out.

Yeah, yeah, I know I shouldn’t compare myself to others. But it’s much easier said than done.

Here’s the thing though… a lot has happened since we first started sending these newsletters to you 365 days ago.

I faced my fears. I quit my job to start my own thing. I started dating an absolutely incredible girl. I tried, I failed, I learned, I grew.

Not to mention, what started as just a simple idea with these newsletters turned into something so much bigger. It turned into a community of thousands of people finding the good (and spreading the good) in their every day life.

So once again… thanks for joining us on this journey!

I guess the point that I’m trying to get across is this. You don’t have to be satisfied with where you’re currently at. But just don’t forget just how far you’ve actually come.

Here’s your challenge for this week: Reflect on the one thing you’re most proud of from this past year and share it with a friend.

This Week’s Find The Good Story

This week’s find the good story is from an anonymous member of our community. Hope it inspires you as much as it inspires us!

“I work with kids who have attempted to commit suicide or are thinking about it, and I find the good by helping them find the good themselves. Helping them find reasons to live and reasons to try to want to live.

I also find the good by allowing myself to have space away from work to care for myself. I run, journal, hike with my dog, and spend time with my friends, family and boyfriend. I try to find the good in every day life, even in the smallest things. And by using a lot of humor and lightness, I can continue to hold space for the kids I work with and show up for them, as well as myself.”

Thanks for reading this week's edition of Find The Good Friday! We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback, so let us know what you thought by dropping us a reply to this email.

Keep on finding the good :)
