Welcome back to another edition of Find The Good Friday, a weekly newsletter where we share one resource, one inspiring quote, one quick tip, and one find the good story to help you find the good this upcoming week.

Our goal is to help you get through the good and the bad days, the ups and the downs, and anything else that stands between you and a smile on your face.

This week's focus: How changing things up can change your life.

Let’s get to it!

This Week's Resource

Why Change is Important for Your Mental Health

Look, I get it. Change can be a scary thing.

After awhile, we get so caught up in the same routine that anything other than what we’re used to can feel weird and uncomfortable.

But no matter how much you try to run away from it, sometimes it’s necessary to change. Sometimes it can improve not only our mental health, but also our lives.

Read on to learn more about the benefits change can have on your mental health.

This Week's Quote

“Embrace uncertainty. Some of the most beautiful chapters in our lives won’t have a title until much later.”

- Bob Goff | American Lawyer and Author

This Week's Quick Tip

I used to run away from change whenever I had the chance.

Why? Because I hated it. Whether it was changing my environment or having a hard time letting go of something that no longer served its purpose... let's just say change can be tough.

But for as long as I spent trying to run and hide from change, I’ve learned to embrace it.

Sure, it can be scary and uncomfortable. But it can also lead to some of the best things in life. And you’d never know if you never step outside of your comfort zone and embrace it.

This Week's Find The Good Story

This week’s find the good story is from Noah. Hope it inspires you as much as it inspires us!

“I try to find the good in everything I do. When I was six, my parents got divorced and it was pretty hard. While we still saw our father, it wasn’t much.

Fast forward a year, we stopped seeing him as much. He was very irresponsible and didn’t do the right things, so my brother and I stopped wanting to see him. After that, I found the good in the things my mom did. She was a single parent and is the hardest working person I know.

We have never been rich but she makes sure we get the things we want and need, and I can’t thank her enough for everything she has ever done for me. I don’t even know how she does it but my mom really made me see the good in things around me, like the opportunities I have received and the gifts I have received.”
