While I’ve never been at a point where I felt like I’ve hit rock bottom, I know it’s a feeling people experience at least once (or more) in their lifetime.
And if you’ve ever been in a situation like that, I feel for you because it does not seem like a pleasant experience. But there’s a saying that goes, “When you hit rock bottom, there’s only one way to go from there... up.”
So if you’re going through a situation where you feel like you’re at your lowest, don’t give up hope because you can come back stronger than ever before.

Even if you’ve never hit rock bottom, we’ve all experienced low points in our lives. Whether it’s heartbreak, losing a loved one, burning out from stress and overwhelm, or anything in between.
One thing I’ve found to help me in those low moments in my own life is to put things into perspective and remind myself that there will be better days ahead.
Just as a surfer rides monster waves before hitting a lull (which can often feel like an eternity), I try to remember that life itself is a lot like surfing.
There’s always going to be highs and lows. But after you hit those lows, are you able to be patient, have faith that things will get better, and get back up when your time comes?
Because there’s always going to be more waves to catch, even if you can’t see them right now.

“I had hit a point in my life where not a thing was going right, I was beyond depressed, and I had finally had enough.
I quit my awful 9-5 and waited for the right job to come, and little things, good things, started happening. It’s possible I finally started looking for them, but regardless, good things were happening. Whether it was as small as my package arriving a day early or something as generous as someone else paying for my coffee ahead of me.
I really truly believe that all of this good was happening when I changed my perspective and really started looking for it. I even noticed I was spreading it to others around me.
One day, I was wearing a Find The Good sweatshirt and I was stopped. This man thanked me for wearing it, told me he loved it, and gave me a huge hug. I can only hope he found a little good that day.”
