This Week's Quick Tip 📝
As you may have guessed by this week’s topic, I’m currently traveling.
I’m visiting my grandparents in South Carolina for the next week. And let me tell you...
It’s a very different lifestyle and environment over here than what I’m used to.
Warmer weather, different animals, different people. There was even a tornado warning the other day (don’t see that everyday, huh?).
The biggest takeaway: It’s given me a newfound perspective on things. I’ve gained so many new ideas and appreciation for things I might otherwise take for granted, like quality time with family.
This Week's Find The Good Story 📖
This week’s find the good story is from Edyta. Hope it inspires you as much as it inspires us!
"I found the good and I'm holding onto it!
Last year was a rough year for me in terms of my mental and physical health. My work/life balance was at its worst. I kept trying to keep up with my job, which caused me to overwork myself to the point where I stopped eating healthy, did not have time to go to the gym, or go outside for fresh air and sun.
I turned to alcohol and bad food choices. I was eating out 4x a week and finishing 3 bottles of wine every week. My self worth was plummeting by the day, and I'm glad I recently rescued my dog Luka because he was the only one that was getting me out of my house and centering me.
He was the good in my life when I was at my lowest and he is the good in my life now that I am at my highest. I now cherish our afternoon walks because he keeps me active and levelheaded.
It was not until I decided I needed a change in my daily routine and habits in order for me to have more control in my life and live the life that I wanted to live. I signed up for a bodybuilding show this year because I remembered the feeling of completing a prep and stepping on stage 5 years ago and how good it felt to be healthy and have a routine.
I now make the time to go to the gym and eat healthy. I make the time to go outside and get my steps in and feel the sun on my face. I now put myself first because at the end of the day, it's just a job. I hope others can find the good in their every day lives and I hope it allows them to live a great, meaningful, happy and healthy life."
