Welcome back to another edition of Find The Good Friday, a weekly newsletter where we share one resource, one inspiring quote, one quick tip, and one find the good story to help you find the good this upcoming week.

Our goal is to help you get through the good and the bad days, the ups and the downs, and anything else that stands between you and a smile on your face.

This week's focus: Why you should laugh more often.

Let’s get to it!

This Week's Resource

Laughter is the Best Medicine

It’s true! If you’ve ever laughed before (I hope that’s everyone reading this), then you know just how powerful it can be.

Whether it’s a friend cheering you up whenever you’re feeling down or that uncontrollable laughter that brings tears to your eyes, laughing really is a natural medicine for humans.

From stress relief to boosting your immune system, read on to learn more about how laughter can benefit your mental health.

This Week's Quote

“A day without laughter is a day wasted.”

- Charlie Chaplin | British Comic Actor and Composer

This Week's Quick Tip

Yesterday as my friend and I were driving to dinner, our car broke down.

Yes... just like you’d envision it in the movies. Thankfully, we were sitting in traffic and had just enough juice to get over to the side of the road.

And while we could have been mad or frustrated (let’s be honest, we were a bit frustrated), we just turned to each other and started laughing.

Because it was unexpected. It was strange. And it really was funny when we thought about it.

And guess what? Laughing at what could have been seen as a negative situation made us feel better. A lot better. And we made a memory at the same time.

So the next time something weird or frustrating happens to you... just laugh it off. I guarantee it’ll make you feel better than you think.

This Week's Find The Good Story

This week’s find the good story is from Kaycie. Hope it inspires you as much as it inspires us!

“As the world becomes increasingly dark, it’s harder to find the good when the bad is so focused on. Something I strive to do is see the small gifts that God gives me each day.

I don’t believe in coincidences because everything good comes from God. Even when something small and seemingly insignificant happens, I try to look at it from a bigger perspective and recognize that God was looking out for me and gave me that opportunity!

It helps me have hope and a positive attitude towards all that I do in life, and it’s way more fun seeking out miracles rather than disappointments. Finding the good has become increasingly easier for me the more I do this, and it’s helped me recognize God’s hand in my life way more than I ever have before!”
